High quality handcraft and workmanship
The heart of the Flaxwood process.
Flaxwood Guitars are manufactured and assembled mostly by hand, with
excruciating attention paid to every last detail. The luthiers and
staff working at Flaxwood are musicians themselves who take great pride
in their work and spare no effort to make good on the high standards we
have set for our instruments.
Respecting tradition and embracing modern technology
From the outset, it was a question of principle for us that the
long history of the guitar was something to be respected and studied
carefully. It is impossible to reinvent
tradition; however, it is possible to learn from and improve upon
tradition to create something new. Flaxwood Guitars have
combined what we feel are the best characteristics of known
guitar-building materials, and created an innovative new tonewood that
is unique to Flaxwood Guitars alone. In keeping with this pioneering
spirit, the further study and development of modern technology will
always be an integral part of designing new Flaxwood Guitars.

Green values
Finland is a country rich in forests, and timber and its related
industries have been central to the everyday lives of its people since
times immemorial. An innate respect for nature follows naturally. The
Earth's forests are not an unlimited supply of raw material; looking to
preserve rather than to deplete, we set out to create a natural and
ecological alternative to rare tonewoods. With the creation of
flaxwood, we feel we have fulfilled this goal.

Quality control
Each Flaxwood guitar is assembled and adjusted by experienced
luthiers. Combined with flaxwood's characteristic stability as a
material, this ensures that every Flaxwood is a high quality
instrument. Each guitar is meticulously inspected and tested before it
leaves our workshop to ensure consistent quality and playability.
Product development
In addition to our continuing research in the field of material
technology and instrument building, we are committed to constantly
developing and improving our line of guitars together with input from
players of all levels the world over. Flaxwood Guitars is always
interested in hearing your ideas on how to make our instruments meet
the demands of you as musicians. Do not hesitate to contact us with any
and all suggestions and ideas you may have.
