Funny stuff, huh! I hope no one gets offended...

The acoustic...?? Oh, I wish, bro! That footage was shot at the Acoustic Guitar Luthiers' Consortium somewhere in Anaheim very late at night -- an informal gathering of sorts where acoustic guitar luthiers talked shop, drank beer and compared notes on their guitars. People jamming on Django's "Minor Swing" the minute Gordon lead us through the door, amazing atmosphere. I wish I did have that guitar, weird little thing. Great tone, though. Have to stick to my Larrivee and Liikanen on the acoustic side. :)

Look for more Flaxventures later -- actually, when you come to visit us we should shoot some off-kilter footage. What say you?

It's all in good fun, so it would take someone with minute selfesteem to get offended by that :) Cool guitar , everything as a puzzle :D

I'm definatly up for shooting footage :) By the way, I just recorded the video for the Greg Howe thing, as well as two other short clips. I'll upload them on youtube, and if they are to your liking, I'll sen dyou high quality ones for the site.

Saw TOTO in concert last night. Great show, GREAT drumming by Phillips! However, the leadguitar sound was really wet. Too wet, and no highend almost, so it was like listening to a over-chorused, over-delayed guitar in the bottom position of a wah. Couldn't really distinquish anythign he played. Actually most of the show suffered from this lack of treble. On "drag him to the roof" from the "Tambu" album, he used a LUke with singlecoils, and that was the only time you could really hear his playing. Man, Luke should have had a Leikki in hsi hands throughout the show, and my review would have been another :D THAT would have cut through the mix!

Luke's 15-year-old nephew fell in love with the Liekki at Winter NAMM in January, actually. He was going to bring his uncle over but Steve never showed up. Would've been interesting!

and some Jeff Beck - I wonder, is there anything on DVD by him? I want to watch him do his string-manipulation thing... found a great version of "drowning in my own tears" on youtube youtube.com ...

I just got hold of Ojos de Brujo's live DVD from the Barí tour. Still have to watch it, great band. Definitely go check them out live.
