Thanks for dropping by in Frankfurt! Was great to see a lot of people liking the guitars.
The FW bass has been tentatively talked about, yes, but it is still in its planning stages, so before such a thing can be unleashed on the unsuspecting it will take time in design, planning, experimentation and product development. It will not be something that we'll put out there in quite a while. Mind you, we have to be certain that the product is worthy of the Flaxwood name and up to our own quality standards first.
As far as endorsements go, each possible endorsee has to be considered separately. You understand we can't just hand out endorsements like flyers. Depending on the exposure both the player and FW gets, an endorsement can be considered.
I have to get to writing the Frankfurt journal, so stay tuned and spread the word!

Hi Chaps.
My name is David Carr and I am now a proud Liekki player.
I met Kim and Jussi at the NAMM show in California this year. I had spent 4 days looking for new guitars (I didn't even bother with the Fenders and Gibos) and on day four I saw a Goldtop Liekki (think of those old Biblical epics where the sky opens and Angels sing). I think I spent hours playing it because it is everything I was looking for:
a semi acoustic body,
a 'Strat' scale length,
2 P90 pickups,
a fabulous tremolo,
and a modern innovative design with the feel of a vintage 'player'.
I am also politically 'Green' so Flaxwood resonates with my ethical priorities.
I'll be sure to post some stories of my work with the Liekki as it is now my #1 Axe.

Welcome to the FW Forum, David!
Survived four days off and Easter, now it's back to work. About to take a Rautia for a spin at a Joni Mitchell tribute rehearsal.
Later!

This pic of me (with Liekki) also has my old friend Jason Singh from Melbourne Band Taxiride sitting in a commanding position in MY studio chair! The day this photo was taken we were working on a song he wrote with 'Snoopdog'. I must admit to liking rappers as much as eating glass but I believe good things will happen for Jason in this new pairing. I may be in the Band if he tours so I better start working on my "Yo's".

I actually just saw Snoop play in Helsinki, was one hell of a show. Hip hop goes down mitey feine with me, though I will say that I didn't warm to P.Diddy's performance too much. :)

HI guys!
I used to be registered under FretDance, but for some reason that user does not seem to exist anymore. Ah, well, thought it was abut time to introduce myself to others than Kim and others in the Flaxwood team that might know of me.
My name is Richard Lundmark, Sweden, and I'm a Flax'oholic. There it is, I've said it! However, it's an addiction I won't ever recover from :) My Flaxwood journey started last summer, when I was in Tokyo, Japan, working as a business consultant and doing clinics and shows (more on this later).
One day, when browsing thourgh the guitarstore sof Tokyo (and belive me there are a FEW!) I hicstumbled into GuitarPlanet, the Flaxwood dealer in Japan. At first I didn't recognize the guitars, but when I saw the resonace backplate, I remembered reading something about Flaxwood in a Swedish music magazine (MM) a while back. I asked to play one (a red rautia), plugged into a Line 6 Flextone... and, love at first sight was an understatement! Never before had I encountered an instrument so responsive and with such separation (And I've tried a few, let me tell you!). The playability was eery, I just couldn't put it down, so I started jamming to the background music in the store (a live concert with Mike Stern), and I do belive, that to this day, that was some of the best plyaing I've ever done.
I just had get on the bandwagon with these guys, there was no doubt in my mind. So, while still in Japan, I contacted Ari (with what probably was the longest mail he's ever received lol), who forwarded me to Kim, and I bombarded him as well. To make a long story short, since then I've been as passionate about Flaxwood guitars and the Flaxwood company as I am about my own music. I'm currently using a Äijä for my shows and clinics (and lessons and whatnot) that Kim and Flaxwood was kind enough to send me earlier this year. And in the near future, my own model will arrive at my doorstep, and I will be like a kid at x-mas for sure.
Enough talk however, a (moving) picture says more than a thousand words (which I'm sure is at least how much I've poured down here by now). Here are alink to my youtube, where you will find several vids of me playing Flaxwood (as well as other vids from various clinics, in Sweden and Japan). This weekend I have two new clinics coming up, where I will use Flaxwood exclusivly, from which vids will also be uploaded in the near future. Also, feel free to visit my website to listen to mp3.s, drop a lin ein my guitarforum, or what not.
Best Regards/

Welcome to the forum, Richard!
And great sounding tunes -- is that some paradigm shifting I hear in "Neo Blues"? ;) Can you e-mail me at jussi@flaxwood.com, I'd like to talk to you about some stuff.

Just a short note to say my latest project is up on myspace:
Myspace.com/Textapopeye
The latest track 'Godzillagram' was done when my Liekki arrived in Australia. The other 3 were recorded last year (sadly Sans Flaxwood) but today we finally mastered the Album. It's wacky stuff to don't take it too seriously- we just had heaps of fun writing and recording it.
