This pic was taken last month when Melbourne heavy rockers 'Tread' came into my studio Rangemaster to record a new 3 track EP. These guys are great players and have top equipment but when I pulled the Liekki out of it's case and declared "this part needs This guitar" they obeyed!
Check out their myspace page www.myspace.com/treadrock
The Flaxwood appeared on all of the tracks and it's clean tones really shine in the song Truth. Steve and Tim both are still bugging about how they can get an endorement!

Thanks Lars.
I've gotta admit it's an easy job because the guitar speaks for itself. Look at it... it's a damm beautiful piece of Flaxwood.

Here are some pics from studio B at 'The Grove' studios in the NSW central coast- 1 hour north of Sydney (a 1000KM flight from my house in Melbourne). This studio was built by Gary Bears, the Bass player of Aussie Band INXS.

The Band here is 'The Oscars' and they are a fun and talented bunch who write great songs when they aren't surfing. I went up to mix the Album with my old friend Andy Sorrenson (at the controls) and took my Leikki. They used it on some overdubs and pictured here is Byron doing some tracking.
Again, the response was great. They loved the look, the feel and the tone. It sure craps on their Korean knockoffs!

Hi, everyone!

I put some of my stuff on MySpace. It's sketchy, improvised - the music as well as the profile ;o) Would love to get some feedback, though. So, if you've got some time to spare, let me bend your ear :o)

But... not played on any Flaxwood, sorry. It's my goody oldy strat and me.

Jammy stuff there, Lars! I get a very art film kind of slow motion cinematic vibe out of the tunes. My German is virtually nonexistent, so can you give me a brief overview on the text on your myspace?

On another note:

I just added the GrandGtrs cover article to the In the Press section of the site. I've looked over and over for someone who could translate a juicy quote from the article (along the lines of the other articles there). Would it be too much trouble for you to read the article through, select a good quote and translate that into English? I'd be eternally grateful, though if it's too much trouble I understand.

Hi, Jussi!

That's not a problem. I see what I can do tonight about the article from Grand Guitars. I'll put an English translation of the text on myspace. But I'll give you an overview tonight as well.
