1. General Terms and Conditions
Flaxwood.com is the marketplace of Flaxwood Oy (1974471-2). These terms and conditions apply to all trade relationships between Flaxwood Oy and its customers.
In addition, the terms and conditions defined by the provider apply to all services and products provided by Flaxwood.com. Flaxwood Oy has the right to update these terms and conditions without prior notification. All orders are subject to the terms and conditions in effect at the time of the transaction. These terms and conditions are available for reading on the Flaxwood Oy website.
Flaxwood.com shall not be held responsible for damage caused by force majeure. Force majeure refers to any unforeseen aspect or change in conditions outside the area of influence of Flaxwood.com. Flaxwood.com is obliged to inform the customer of a force majeure event without delay.
2. Customers and Privacy
Flaxwood.com welcomes all personal and business customers. The trade relationship is subject to applicable Finnish and EU legislation pertaining to consumer trade, marketing, and advertising. Trade agreements between business customers and Flaxwood Oy primarily comply with these terms and conditions, and with Finnish trade law in other respects.
Upon placing an order, the customer is obliged to submit their full contact information, consisting at minimum of their name, address, phone number, and email address (if applicable). The information required from business customers consists of the contact person’s name, phone number, and email, along with the business ID, mailing address, phone number(s), and billing address (if applicable).
Flaxwood.com wants to create a safe and equal platform for customers. We monitor the security of the website via technological methods in order to stop e.g., attempted security breaches and automated trading/queries. Should we detect any activity in violation of our terms and conditions, we shall inform the supervisory authority and reserve the right to cancel the transaction if the customer has failed to act in accordance with commonly agreed standards and has e.g., utilized automatic tools (bots/scripts) as part of their order.
Customer information is stored in Flaxwood Oy’s client registry. The content within is used to maintain customer relationships. In addition, Flaxwood Oy and companies belonging to the same group possess the right to handle and share any data in the registry for legitimate purposes (such as direct marketing) in accordance with applicable legislation.
All prices include VAT, if nothing other stated. Depending on the tax regulations of your country, VAT may be added to the invoice or be payable at your local customs office upon delivery outside of the European Union.
We always check prices when handling orders. In the event of a price reduction, we correct the prices in the customer’s open order. However, should the price of a product increase prior to shipping, the original purchase price is honored.
Flaxwood Oy or any providers used by Flaxwood Oy are not responsible for delays caused by unexpected changes outside their area of influence.
Flaxwood Oy reserves the right to limit the sale of its products in exceptionally large quantities
More information on delivery methods and their service content can be found on our website and product pages. Finalized orders are normally processed within 3 business days. “Finalized order” refers to an order with every product in stock and prepared for order, and approved payment.
In crafting our bespoke guitars, delivery typically takes between 3 to 6 months. The timeframe varies based on your unique specifications and our current waiting lists.The more intricate the customizations, the longer it will take our luthiers to build. The artisanal approach of our process makes it possible for us to prepare and deliver more heavily customized guitars to our customers.
We provide free shipping in European Economic Area excluding replacement necks. Shipping cost will be automatically added in overseas orders in shopping cart.
Flaxwood.com is not responsible for holding other products in the order to the customer in the event one product is unavailable or its delivery is delayed for reasons independent of Flaxwood Oy. Alternatively, the customer may choose to accept backorder delivery for the delayed product or cancel the order. Backorder delivery costs are charged as normal, based on the pricing in effect at the time. Products in the order are held for a maximum duration of 7 days, after which the order is cancelled if the customer has not accepted backorder delivery in accordance with the Flaxwood.com terms and conditions.

We use Klarna as a check-out provider. This means that we may transfer your personal information in the form of contact and order information to Klarna once the store purchase transaction has been downloaded so that Klarna can manage your purchase. Your transferred personal data will be processed in accordance with Klarna’s own privacy statement.
Flaxwood offers its customers a return period of 30 days. If you wish to return a product, please contact us in advance via email (email@example.com). We recommend you take good care of the product, its accessories and instructions, and of course the packaging until you decide to keep the product. Legally, the buyer is responsible for the loss of value from using the product.
We request you keep all documents pertaining to the return until you receive notification of a successful return from Flaxwood.com.
Products to be returned must be packaged with care. More information: Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.
Flaxwood.com will fully reimburse all payments from the customer via a specifically agreed method without any delay, and in any case within 14 days from the company receiving the returned product(s) or when the customer has provided proof of returning the product(s).
7. Warranty, Support, and Liability for Material Defects
The warranty is determined by the manufacturer’s warranty terms. You are obliged to read and understand the warranty terms included with the product before use. Generally, the warranty only extends to manufacturing and material defects found on the product. The length of the warranty period can be found in the product information. Warranty repairs are always performed in accordance with the warranty terms of the manufacturer or importer.
In the event a product is obviously sent in for warranty servicing without valid reason, any unnecessary servicing costs are charged to you in full. Flaxwood Oy is not responsible for damage incurred through the customer’s actions. Unnecessary servicing costs consist of any maintenance company fees and costs to Flaxwood.com.
Flaxwood.com is responsible for the legal liability of its products post-warranty or in the event no warranty has been issued. For more information, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If necessary, Flaxwood Oy may provide information regarding the recycling of its products. All product prices include recycling costs.
When returning a product or issuing a reclamation on a defective product, the customer is obliged to present their proof of purchase, receipt, or another document proving the time and place of purchase. Flaxwood Oy reserves the right to charge any costs of finding a receipt to the buyer.
Reclamations are handled exclusively in writing. A free-form reclamation may be submitted via email to email@example.com, or as a letter to the business address.
Reclamation staff works directly under the management. If necessary, the staff consults the management regarding reclamations sent by customers. Production staff does not handle reclamations.
Dispute settlements and jurisdiction: If the customer is a consumer, they may contact the Consumer Dispute Board (http://www.kuluttajariita.fi/) about any disputes regarding this agreement to find a settlement. Before contacting the Consumer Dispute Board, the consumer shall contact the Consumer Advisory Services (https://www.kkv.fi/en/consumer-affairs/consumer-advisory-services/). In addition, the consumer may use the web-based dispute settlement forum operated by the European Commission (http://ec.europa.eu/odr). In disputes regarding contract debt, the customer may file a suit against Flaxwood.com either at the District Court of the domicile of Flaxwood Oy or the District Court of the town/city in Finland within whose jurisdiction the customer resides. If the Customer does not reside in Finland, disputes are settled at the District Court of the domicile of Flaxwood Oy.
Representation costs are not reimbursed because the Consumer Advisory Services and the Consumer Dispute Board offer dispute settlement assistance free of charge.
9. Additional Terms and Conditions for Business Customers
Flaxwood.com is not responsible for any direct or indirect loss, damage, or lost income caused by the product and/or service. Flaxwood Oy’s liability is always limited to the content of these terms and conditions. Liability for material defects is limited to the possible reimbursement of the purchase price minus operation benefit.
Warranty periods are determined in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms, and the expiration of the warranty removes Flaxwood Oy’s liability. The act of physically opening the product to perform modifications voids the warranty and removes the seller’s liability unless otherwise noted by the manufacturer.
Flaxwood Oy is not obliged to fulfill a contract in the event of force majeure that cannot reasonably be overcome. In such an event, Flaxwood.com shall not be held liable to reimburse the damage or costs to the customer and is entitled to cancel the contract.
Upon submitting an order and/or bid, the customer unequivocally accepts the Flaxwood.com Terms and Conditions. Any contract terms and conditions used by the customer, if in conflict with the Flaxwood.com Terms and Conditions, shall not be complied with.
